Overview

This elegant wine is a study in balance and complexity. 30% whole clusters were included in small stainless steel fermenters, with each vineyard block being fermented separately. Ruby red color with pleasing aromas of rose petals, pepper, herbs, and damp soil. Red and blue fruits dominate the lushly textured flavors and are joined by sumptuous mocha and detailed mandarin orange notes on the velvety finish. This full-bodied Wiley Vineyard Pinot Noir is accessible today yet it will age gracefully for decades.

Critical Acclaim

” This wine is deep, opulent, with aromas of red currant, brandied cherry, maple, and notes of dried potpourri on the nose. The flavors on the palate are cranberry-pomegranate, orange zest, pink grapefruit vanilla cream, interlocked with dried sage, espresso crema, and a juicy dry finish. Decant and Enjoy. pair with grilled duck breast, pomegranate, brocolli rabe” Score: 94 Points

“Shows good underlying energy as the mix of mulberry and black cherry fruit drives along, flecked with rose hip, rooibos tea and iris accents along the way. There's a late minerally echo.” Score: 91 Points
